Report: Gwyneth Paltrow engaged to TV exec Brad Falchuk after years of dating

Gwyneth Paltrow’s boyfriend of three years, Brad Falchuk, has proposed to his actress girlfriend, Us Weekly reports.

>> Read more trending news

Citing multiple unnamed sources, the publication reported the engagement was more a matter of when than if.

“They both knew it would happen, but it wasn’t a big thing to them because they were both in long marriages before. There wasn’t a rush,” one source revealed.

Paltrow and Falchuck met on the set of “Glee” in 2014. Falchuk, 46, was co-creator and executive producer of the former Fox show, and Paltrow had a reoccurring role as substitute teacher, Holly Holliday.

According to Us Weekly, the pair revealed their relationship to the public in September 2015 during a premiere of “Scream Queens” -- another of Falchuk’s projects.

“I think she just supports everything I do, thankfully,” Falchuk said of his now-fiancee at the time.

Paltrow, 45, made headlines in 2014 when she announced her divorce from Coldplay’s Chris Martin after 10 years of marriage. While the divorce was surprising to many, it was what Paltrow called the separation that had people scratching their heads. Their statement on Paltrow’s lifestyle site Goop read, in part, “We have always conducted our relationship privately and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”

“Conscious uncoupling” became a meme of it’s own, which Paltrow would eventually grow to regret. The pair are still amicable and co-parent son, Moses, 11, and daughter Apple, 13.

Falchuk also shares two kids, Isabella and Brody, with ex-wife and TV producer Suzanne Falchuk.

Originally, the Nintendo project was slated to take a portion out of the KidZone section where Woody Woodpecker and the Barney rides are located.

Building permits released Tuesday include a Super Mario Land, Donkey Kong and Mario Kart at Universal Studios Florida.

Sources have said the idea is to expand on a possible film project with Illumination Entertainment, the studio behind "Despicable Me," to eventually make a Super Mario Brothers animated movie.

"Nintendo has so much to offer for them to just confine it to a small kiddie land inside an existing park to me, personally, doesn't make a lot of sense,” Thom Pratt, of The Kingdom Insider, told WFTV.

Universal Orlando said it would not comment on speculation.

Japan is scheduled to open its Nintendo land in 2020.

Universal Orlando is scheduled for shortly after that.

Police find $500K, guns, drugs after neighbors complain

Three people are facing charges after Charlotte-Mecklenburg police found $500,000 in cash, along with guns and drugs, while searching a home in Steele Creek.

Police said they investigated a house on Hatton Cross Lane after receiving anonymous complaints from neighbors and arrested 30-year-old Anthony Joseph Espinal, 24-year-old Jesus Manuel Rosario and 32-year-old Socrates Jhoneril Gomez.

In addition to the cash, officials said 2.6 kilograms of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, two guns, a money counter and other drugs were found inside the house.

Authorities said the cocaine was packaged as bricks and that much of the cash was wrapped in tape and dunked in grease before being stored in metal containers.

Investigators told WSOC that the narcotics are worth about $100,000 and that they believe the bust curbed violent crime in the area.

"To say that this reduced the violent crime aspect pretty much all across the area, I think would be very true," Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Sgt. Danny Meyers.

Espinal, Rosario and Gomez were each charged with conspiracy to traffic in cocaine greater than 400 grams, felony possession of cocaine, trafficking in opium/heroin/opiates, possession with intent to sell/distribute marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia not for marijuana.

All three suspects received a $1,552,000 bond.

Police said they're looking for a third suspect, 21-year-old Christian Nunez, in connection with the drugs, guns and cash uncovered during the bust.

Official Position: Do not dip Pop-Tarts in ranch

Straight out of the box, frozen, toasted, sandwiched between more treats- there are many ways to enjoy the Pop-Tart, and the brand doesn't seem to mind

Thinking of dipping the toaster pastry? Chocolate, caramel and fruit dips might be good ideas.

But apparently Pop-Tart draws the line at one of Oklahoma's favorite dipping sauces: ranch.

Twitter user Taylor shared a Tweet that appears to show a strawberry-flavored Pop-Tart headed for a dish of ranch dressing, declaring "You ain't from Oklahoma if you don't dip your Pop Tart in Ranch Dressing."

The brand responded, retweeting the picture with the caption "This is just disrespectful."

It's not the first time Pop-Tarts responded negatively to a fan's idea.

Creating a grilled cheese with the treat is also "unacceptable.

Critter trapped in mother's wall for weeks, ruins Thanksgiving

A mother said her Thanksgiving is ruined because of a rodent living in her wall.

Tiffany Gibson turned to FOX13 after weeks of trying to get the problem fixed with her rental company at the Uptown Square apartments.

“I have been trying to get my landlord, my rent office, to try and help me with a problem I've been having since August,” said Gibson.

It started with noise, like scratching, and Gibson quickly realized a critter had gotten stuck in her walls.

“I don't know if it's a rat, a cat, a bat, a squirrel, might be a baby tiger,” said Gibson, a mother of two boys.

She knew it was biting through her wall though when two holes emerged in her kitchen.

“If it can bite a hole in the wall, it can surely bite,” she said.

Tiffany said she has been trying to get management at Uptown Square to fix the issue for months, and told FOX13 the plaster and chicken wire was not providing peace of mind.

“I should've got a transfer, Maybe they should've given me another apartment,” she said, throwing out options to remedy her current situation.

Instead, the mother has had to cancel hosting Thanksgiving.

“I refuse to have anybody over with holes in my walls and scratching coming from within my walls,” she said.

FOX13’s camera finally caught the critter on video, but for Tiffany, that has not eased her anxiety.

“I just don't want to stay here for the simple fact that I am terrified,” she said.

Her son is also terrified as well. He has been nervous about going to the bathroom by himself because of the incessant noise.

The management at Uptown Square apartments told FOX13 multiple maintenance men have visited the apartment but not heard the scratching.

Gibson said one worker absolutely witnessed the scratching and they know it exists from repairing the holes.

FOX13’s Zach Crenshaw only spent a few minutes in the apartment and heard the scratching and saw the squirrel through the wire.

The property manager said pest control put some bait in the wall on Monday.

Gibson is upset, though, because she said now the squirrel might die in her wall and smell up the apartment.

Cord blood that saved 2-year-old boy hand-delivered by first-ever cord blood recipient

When Matt Farrow was taken to Paris 29 years ago, umbilical cord blood transplants were an experimental procedure.

His parents took the then-5-year-old to France because that was the only place where they could find a doctor to perform the procedure.

Farrow, who suffered from a rare blood disorder, was the first person to receive a cord-blood transplant, and doctors said there was little chance it would work.

“When my parents got approached to do this experiment, they were given less than 5 percent chance that it would work,” Farrow said.

The transplant defied the odds, though, and the cord blood from Farrow’s newborn sister saved his life.

Fast-forward to 2017.

Farrow now works for Cord:Use Cord Blood Bank in Orlando, where technicians process and store cord blood to be used by patients all over the world.

“Cord blood’s been used for over 40,000 transplants to save people with over 80 diseases now,” Cord:Use president Dr. Edward Guindi said.

One of those people was 2-year-old Grant Gibbens, who was diagnosed with leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant.

Cord blood from his newborn brother was used to treat Grant’s cancer and he is now in full remission, his family said.

Farrow realized Monday that he was the one who delivered the cord blood used to treat Grant.

“That’s really special,” Farrow said. “It’s really awesome that I hear that cord blood has been able to save another life.”
