It’s almost chilly enough for the 2015 Polar Plunge benefiting Special Olympics of Oklahoma. The plunge happens on Saturday, February 28th at Big Splash Water Park. Registration begins at 10am and the plunge happens at 11am. Registration for the Plunge is a minimum donation of $75 with all proceeds going to the Special Olympics of Oklahoma . Customs are encouraged but not required.
A Polar Plunge is a fundraising challenge made to an individual or group challenging them to dive into a cold body of water in order to raise money for Special Olympics. Each participant collects pledges from family, friends and businesses in the hopes of raising lots of money for Special Olympics.
The Polar Plunge is coordinated by the Law Enforcement Torch Run which is an international charity made up of law enforcement personnel who raise money and awareness for Special Olympics.
Not ready to take the Plunge, you can still head out to Big Splash and watch those brave enough to get in the water for free.
