Nowata Country Jubilee

The holiday music scene kicks off at the Nowata Country Jubilee on Saturday, December 6, 2014.   Tucked into the Jack R. Ellis Memorial Theater in downtown Nowata, OK, the musical  talent is active and exciting.  Fine local and regional musical talent is presented there at 116 N. Maple in Nowata.

The formidable Jubilee house band, The Hooty Creek Band, will present an entertaining repertoire of country-western and rock music.  Hooty Creek members are:  Brian Bailey -  drums, Danny Timms – keyboard, Don Parker – bass guitar, Johnny Rose – lead guitar, Maggie Bell  and Will Clark– vocals.  Guests for the evening will be the ever-popular Brother Dave Gilbert and exciting newcomer, Kayley Martin.

The dance floor is ready, plus there is comfortable theater seating.  Adult admission cost is $10.00.  Children, under 12, are admitted free when supervised.  The theater doors open at 6:00 pm and the concert starts at 7:00 pm.   The Jubilee is handicapped-accessible.   Parking for the Nowata Country Jubilee is free.

Food is available, if you want to dine or snack.  The grill serves up juicy deluxe hamburgers, plump hotdogs, and tasty frito chili pies.  Homemade desserts are the kitchen specialties.

Door prizes, donated by area businesses, are drawn at the intermission.  There is a 50-50 pot drawing.  The Jubilee is tobacco-free, alcohol-free, and, as always, fight-free.
