Funded only by private individuals and foundations, VFC serves underprivileged children on remote islands that have no access to vision care. The Bahamian island’s medical system does not provide for optometric care for any of their citizens. Prior to Dr. Vanderpool’s mission trips there was no on-island services available for the children of the out islands of the Bahamas. Most children will never travel off of their native island and therefore have no access to optometric care. Most could not afford optometric care if it were available.Because of this deficit in services, Dr. Vanderpool stepped up to fill the gap. Initially personally funding and providing all services, he has performed more than a thousand optometric exams and provided hundreds of eye glasses to the children of Bimini enabling them with a better chance in lifeDr. Vanderpool and his family has been providing and funding free eye exams and glasses to the children of the out islands of the Bahamas for 7 years, unfortunately, future missions are uncertain due to lack of available funds. To continue this important work immediate funding is imperative. A hundred percent of all funds donated will be used to provide eye care and glasses for the children of the out island of the Bahamas.  Vision for Children Charitable Foundation needs financial help from individuals and foundations alike, to continue this much needed and rewarding mission.

K95's Random Act of Country with Keystone Chevrolet

K95 was contacted by Keystone Chevrolet to help out the victims of the Sand Spring's Tornado that tore through Green Country on March, 25th. We couldn't have been happier to be there when Mike Frizell from Keystone presented a check for $4500 to Valerie Thomas from Sand Springs Community Services. Valerie shared how the money will be used with K95. It was a great day.

Green Up Green Country

Green Country is beautiful because of the scenery, but it’s also beautiful because of the people who live here. Let’s work together to make it even more beautiful for future generations by cleaning up the trash in and around Tulsa.

The fun kicks off around 9 a.m. at Hunter Park with a pep talk, t-shirt giveaway* and supply handout.

Volunteers disperse!

Crews will go out and collect trash around Green Country from 10 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers are asked to meet back at Hunter Park for a group photo at 12:30 p.m. with all of their collected trash.

Let’s team up to clean up!
