The Skiatook Pioneer Day Festival is held on Saturday, September 21, 2013, in downtown Skiatook’s Central Park. Admission is free! Pioneer Day carnival rides open on Thursday and Friday evenings, and the festival officially kicks off on Saturday morning at 7am with a 5K/10K run, and a parade down Rogers Blvd at 9am; the festival runs all day long on Saturday. Events during the day on Saturday include a Duck Dynasty Dare Contest, Pet Contest, Little Miss/Mr Pageant, Horseshoe Tournament, Dunk Tank, Rodeo, Car Show, Live Musical Entertainment, Karaoke, and a Midway with over seventy booths loaded with arts, crafts, food, and much more! Live entertainment is performed throughout the day.
