JENKS, Okla. — The Jenks Police Department and Jenks Animal Welfare hosted a large pet adoption event at Bark West Dog Park near W 101 St, on Saturday.

Their goal was to help reduce shelter population and to find a new home for the dogs.

All the shelter dogs were fully vaccinated, neutered, tested negative for heartworms and were viewable in an open park environment.

The Humane Society of Tulsa was also at the event to provide free heartworm testing and microchipping for all pets.
