TULSA — Even as he wrestles with the issues of mob violence at the Capitol and a second impeachment of the President of the United States, Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma also faces criticism at home.
Several members of Tulsa’s African-American community have spoken out publicly, calling for him to resign or be removed from the Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission.
Lankford spoke at length with KRMG Wednesday shortly before the House vote to impeach Donald Trump a second time.
To be clear, he said he has no plans to step down from the commission.
