OSDH: More than 1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses given

Nearly 170 thousand doses administered in the last week

Vaccine distribution began in Oklahoma in late December

Oklahoma has crossed the threshold of one million COVID-19 vaccines administered.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health updated its vaccine report Friday showing the week-over-week jump of 168,416 doses.

According to OSDH, health care workers in the state have administered 638,966 first doses and 368,851 second doses.

Active cases declined by 133 and recoveries increased by 1,050.

As Oklahoma marks one year since the first case in the state, the health department said there have been a total of 427,558 cases of COVID-19 in Oklahoma.

Friday’s provisional death count (CDC/NCHS is): 7,202
