GREER COUNTY, Okla. (KOKI) — Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 14-year-old boy is in the hospital after leading police on a pursuit in Greer County, Oklahoma.
Troopers say it happened Wednesday evening after 5 p.m. when Magnum police officers were pursuing the teen who was driving at a high rate of speed down a dirt road.
OHP says the teen eventually lost control of the truck he was driving, veering off of the dirt road. The report says he then hit a fence, causing the truck to roll two times before coming to a stop in a pasture.
Troopers say the teen was taken to a local hospital where he was admitted in fair condition.
According to the police report, the teen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The report does not state why Magnum police initiated the pursuit.
