Sexual battery reported in East Tulsa Walmart parking lot, Police believe possibly more victims

At 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Tulsa Police Department responded to a sexual battery call that took place in the Walmart parking lot, near East Admiral Place and South Memorial Drive, according to TPD.

The victim, who was with her children reported a male approaching her and making comments of a sexual nature. The suspect then forcibly touched her backside.

The victim was able to run to her car with her kids, fled the scene and then contacted police.

The suspect has been identified as Reginald Mitchell and was taken into custody at a nearby bus stop.

Walmart employees have reviewed the surveillance footage and say that Mitchell has approached other women in a suspicious manner.

Although there have been no other official reports, police believe there may be other victims in the community that have encountered Mitchell.

TPD is encouraging anyone who believes they have been a victim of a crime to contact authorities.
