St. Paul police said two men were approached around 11:30 p.m. by a group of three other men who started shooting at them, WCCO reported.

Investigators said the two men, aged 25 and 26, had permits to carry concealed firearms and shot back. No one was injured but a bullet hit an elementary school and six vehicles were damaged by gunfire, the Pioneer Press reported.

The next shooting started around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. Officer were patrolling when they heard a hail of gunfire and then found three people shot at a gas station. Two victims were taken by ambulance to a hospital, while another victim went there on their own. They are all expected to survive.

About 30 minutes later, officers were called when gunfire erupted at a house party with about 100 guests. Four people were injured. A 33-year-old woman, a 38-year-old woman, a 24-year-old man and another victim arrived on their own at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, WCCO reported.

None of the victims have been identified. Suspect information has not been released and no arrests have been made in any of the shootings, which are believed to be unrelated.

St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter said his office will work with investigators to find those involved.

“This is unacceptable,” Carter said. “Thankfully no lives were lost, but this clearly could have ended much differently.”
