Chaka Khan has teamed up with Broadway superstar Idina Menzel for a new duet of the song.

They joined forces for the global organization called CARE to help recognize “the strength, resilience, and leadership of Every Woman around the world, especially in the face of colossal challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic,” the group said in a news release.

CARE is also soliciting support for women around the world through its CARE Package program that helps pregnant women get prenatal care, provide sewing machines to start small businesses, provide books and school supplies to allow girls to enroll in education and support emergency shelters for women at risk of violence.

Whitney Houston may have performed the most well-known version of the song in 1992. It was originally released by Khan in 1978 and was used by Oprah Winfrey as the theme for her show in the mid-1990s, the “Today” show reported.

Menzel said working with Khan has been a dream come true, UPI reported.

“I’ve been a fan of @chakaikhan my whole life. She is one of the greatest singers of all time,” she wrote on Instagram, according to UPI. “Thank you for allowing me to accompany you on this song.”
