Officials with the Chicago Police Department confirmed to WGN-TV that Victor Manuel-Reyes, 36, was arrested Friday after being identified as “the man who rode around on a one-wheel motorized scooter groping women.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Manuel-Reyes was charged Sunday with suspicion of criminal sexual assault by force, four counts of aggravated battery in a public place and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse causing bodily harm.

The reported attacks occurred on June 1, in the 400 block of West Lake Street, and on Aug. 6, in the 1100 block of South State Street, WGN reported.

Locals had dubbed the assailant the “scooter groper,” and police began circulating surveillance images of the man wearing a white bicycle helmet and riding the motorized transport following the Aug. 6 attack, the Tribune reported.

Manuel-Reyes was slated to appear in court Sunday.
