UNICOI COUNTY, Tenn. — A Tennessee man was arrested after a video showed him dumping multiple tires into a river, investigators said.
Video posted on social media shows a blue pickup truck parked on a bridge and a man heaving the tires over the side as they disappear into the Nolichucky River.
The Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office said Logan Cortney, 23, was identified as the man throwing the tires, WJHL reported.
On Sunday, Cortney turned himself in, Sheriff Michael K. Hensley said.
He was charged with littering. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
