Happy Birthday Steve Perry! He is rockin’ 72 today!
Steve Perry, along with his Journey bandmates, was finally inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017. Jon Bon Jovi originally gave him the nickname “The Voice”. Steve Perry is ranked #76 on Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Singers Of All Time”. According to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), Journey is the 25th best selling band in the U.S. They are also ranked #5 in a USA Today Reader’s Poll of the “Best U.S. Rock Band In History” and Rolling Stone ranks them at #96 on their “100 Greatest Artists Of All Time” list. Along with the hits Steve Perry had with Journey, he also had 5 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as a solo artist.
